rrrrrr - drone/microtonal music for rocks

I decided to give another go at the milkcrate project as i really enjoyed the last one i did and i feel i push myself alot to do very different things when im doing one of these, for those of you who do not know what the project is you can go here for more info. I did this milkcrate under standard rules, the rules being here. All of the sound was generated using various generative chains built all using the same sample recorded from the rocks.

Here is the finished piece, i am really happy with the outcome i was worried that by doing a piece this long that it could be to drawn out but after listening to it several times i think that will not be the case as there is so much going on underneath, Sit back and listen.

Setup Idea For Microtonal Performance W/ Kalimba

The video above shows the main idea for a performance with kalimba as the sound source.

The setup > Macbook, Mic, Kalimba, Nocturn, O2 and  Keypad.

I will start off my performance by recording all my source sound using the kalimba, i will then drop one of the samples into my first chain into simpler and start playing the sample on my O2 i then will while playing that start working the chains into two other generative chains and from there its what ever happens, happens.

The keypad is being used to start and trigger/record re:sample channels.
