exploring the sound of a wind chime

I went to my parents house to pick up some papers and then go by the atm, while there it was a little windy and i could hear a wind chime my mom had by the front door so i decided to pull out my little camera and record the video clip above to bring the sounds back and process.

Below is the outcome,

plwf

I went out and bought a nikon d3000 today and im liking it so far, but that aside i made a little sound clip while messing around with a idea for this new release, it is a recording of 2 clips being processed together one being sound from a waterfall and the other taken from a parking lot. plwf by seeyouinsleep

taking field recordings of a stream near the governor's school

Yesterday me and joe and his girlfriend decided to go check out the fall for greenville event so i took my bag of things along in case we came across a place to record. I decided to show them this one stream over near falls park which had this little bridge which i figured would be a fun place to record under. The setup i used was my macbook running ableton live, a mxl mic and a mbox interface.

In the video above it is layered with the recordings i took, but i do plan to use them with some instruments to make a new piece.

working on drones w/ Lsdj running to ableton live

The past few days i have been throwing around some ideas messing with lsdj in ableton and have just been doing alot of done work, in this clip above im just running the sound through the 3 sends only and the second channel has what is playing on the gameboy in a generative chain and is going through the master as well as the sends.

But this is just a little idea nothing to much going on yet.

Experimenting With Viola Plucking + Ableton Live

I recived this viola tonight and i am really enjoying it, ive been running it through ableton and even by just plucking it produces such a lovely sound. I am running it through a little delay and reverb as well as a few other things. Im planning on doing a more experimental inprov tomaro as well as work on some stuff using this.

Test Using Tiction To Controll Generative Processing In Ableton Live

This is a test i did using my generative setup with tiction controlling, Tiction is a flexible, nodal music sequencer. Each node represents an event, and a connection from one node to the next triggers the next event after a certain number of tics. The Nodes send MIDI note messages into my ableton setup and then are again sent through a generative process then trigger the sound.

If you would like to check out tiction you can do so here, http://www.tinkthank.net/software/tiction/
